aka the fastest way to tonne goodman-ify it all – plus a few things on my radar: upcoming fall exhibitions, the best air-dry hair mousse, a capsule collection for a beautiful cause, and more.

I’m a firm believer that white pants shant be relegated to merely the summer–I wear them all year round; white barrels and thick satin in the winter, crisp poplin all three other seasons, linen in the summer. Few items of clothing bring the clean contrast, the Tonne Goodman-ification of it all, like a white pant. In that vein–since I’ve tried on about 300 of them on this summer–my favorites listed above and below. (Plus a tailored white short thrown in for good measure, which I’ve paired with this perfect tissue weight Kule button down about every other day since June).
Since my day-to-day involves copious amounts of color, patterns and textiles, a clean white pant provides the perfect backdrop for the simple kind of layering that makes me feel most like myself: crisp tailoring and classic silhouettes paired with interesting jewelry or accessories is my go-to formula for feeling good both in and out of the office. (Just add a tan.)

The Neue Galerie is one of my most favorite museums, and they will be hosting a 25th anniversary exhibit in the fall that I can’t wait for. The Met is also putting on an exhibit of Louis C. Tiffany’s drawings in the fall that delves into the design of the Gilded Age that looks like it will be excellent for us interior design nerds.
I’ve been a huge fan of Rōz and Mara Roszack since Jenn Streicher first introduced it to me via her fabulous clean beauty shop in Bedford, Duchess. Mara has quite simply created the best haircare products I’ve ever used in my life, with the best scent to boot. Their brand new milk styling mousse is no exception–friends asked if I had gotten a blow out (it was air dried)!
Everything jean godfrey june writes is purely fabulous. I love to save her newsletter for when I have free time before bed or on the weekends while my kids are occupied for a bit so I can really savor them–she is such a brilliant writer. (Even the captions are profound and wry at the same time!)
I was inspired to try out Click Cameras (disposables with development built in–genius), after reading Caroline Chambers’s most recent newsletter. Will report back. (Any excuse to not bring my phone.) On that topic, I’ve been considering getting a Light Phone for the weekends. Anyone have any experience with these? (I found it via Jacqueline Nesi, PhD!)
I just ordered this sleeveless poplin polo–I liked the idea of it with bronzed arms in the summer, and I loved the length. Also good for layering under sweaters come fall.
I recently received a pair of perfect honey tortoise sunglasses from new (to me) brand Raen–I cannot recommend these highly enough. Perfect shape, perfect weight (and this is coming from someone who vehemently eschews the tiny 1990’s sunglasses trend–or any trend, really–and has and will forever wear a version of round honey tortoise frames for eternity.)
My daughters have been clamoring to wear these tennis sets (top and skirt) from Courtside Kids (they also generate a lot of aww’s from the grown ups.) Classic and adorable. (They’ve also been living in these super soft, super girly PJ’s.)
On the makeup front–a few drops of my favorite tanning serum every other day plus this gorgeous mineral blonzer (blush-meets-bronzer) and glowy highlighter dabbed on the cheekbones has me looking like I’ve caught some rays (even though I hide with SPF 50 on my face and UPF50 on my hat.)
This company hands down makes the softest, chicest, most flattering pajamas known to (wo)man. This cami-pant set has taken top billing in my PJ drawer this summer.
Proud of my friend Lauren’s daughter for creating this capsule collection. I love the v-neck cable knit sweaters–perfect weight for summer into fall. But the reason I love the collection the most is that a portion of proceeds from the collection supports Sidekicks, a nonprofit organization that exists to foster genuine friendships between individuals with disabilities and their peers through shared experiences, mentorship, and community programming. Beautiful.
